THUNDER AND RAIN

‘PASSING IN THE NIGHT’

BLUEGRASS

INDEPENDENT RELEASE

Thunder and Rains latest offering, we have to say, is twelve tracks of amazing. First things first, Erinn Peet Lukes has an amazing vocal and is complimented by an array of stunning musicians. It was very unfortunate that we missed them on their last UK tour but this album more than makes up for it. Opener ‘Uncharted’ is an extremely short track but an excellent precursor of what is to follow. Enter ‘Two Ships’ which is a foot-stompin' head noddin’ thigh slappin’ stunner and just puts a smile on your face. ‘House of Light’ and ’10 Hour Flight’ are two very beautiful tracks with emotional vocals and if favourites were to be picked then ‘Down A Rabbit Hole’ and the soundtrack of a life ‘Wine, weed and you’ are right there at the top of the tree.

There are visions of Clint Eastwood and Lee Van Cleef down the ol’ Mexican Cantina with ‘Get it Together.’ This album shows the growth the band have had in the last year. The writing is intelligent and the songs memorable. Very hope to see them back in the UK soon. Thunder and Rain deserve recognition for what they do, and with ‘Passing in the Night’ they are definitely going to get it.
