‘GRAYGARDEN’

DARK ELECTRO GOTH

ADVOXYA RECORDS/INVERSE RECORDS

Struggling here with the term Dark Electro Goth as I was expecting some guitars, but they never arrived. Opener ‘Stone In The Sky’ put me in mind of the times when I used to go clubbing and the vocals were very reminiscent of Mortiis. ‘Remote Warning’ came across very mainstream but ‘Bayonet of her Arms’ had a lot of atmosphere. Granted there was atmosphere to most of the tracks and a great retro vibe running through ‘Circuit In The Scars’ ‘Inhale the Fire’ and ‘Temple Behind The Shades.’

For me though it has been a bit too much boom, boom, boom. Production is great and there are some excellent breakdowns. Just missing something.
