‘BORN TO DIE ON VHS’
Lesbian Bed Death are one of those bands that just make fabulous records and ‘Born To Die On VHS’ is no exception. Musically fabulous, Luci4’s vocals are an instant attention grabber and opening track ‘Fury’ with its superb guitar is just outstanding. Although only the second track in, ‘Dream Warriors’ is my pick of the album simply because it puts a smile on the face. Freddy Kreuger was one of the all time horror villans and a favourite growing up. The riff is superb and well, it’s a great track. In actual fact there are riffs abundant throughout.
‘You Can’t Hide From The Beast Inside’ ‘Scream Until You Like It’ ‘Hellraiser.’ All awesome. It did raise an eyebrow as it is a brave band that will take on a track such as ‘Lost In The Shadows’ from The Lost Boys but take it on they did and a damn fine job all round. A great deal of thought has gone into the choosing of the tracks for the album and it shows. Title track ‘Born To Die On VHS’ is a rocky punky little number and as with all the other tracks, very well produced indeed. Lesbian Bed Death go from strength to strength. They will have to go some to top this but I expect they will.
