WildSpiritz IMS MUSIC REVIEW - FLESH TETRIS - HIGH SCORE
So uncool they’re so cool
There is something very comforting about Flesh Tetris and their brand of Euro Trash Rock/Pop, and although the dual harmony vocal nods in the direction of Electric 6 they thankfully remain quintessentially British. Opener ‘A.I’ is without doubt a funky little number as is to be expected from this band and brings with it a slight retro feel. Musically fabulous with excellent vocals and the space orientated synth just fits.
There is a great play on words in ‘Schadenfreude’ and throughout the melody is infectious. Flesh Tetris are masters of the hook and it makes you want to listen again and again. Rounding off with ‘Three In A Cubicle’ which is a very tongue in cheek track, the band have put together something exceptional. Cleverly written and well-produced, not only are the songs catchy and memorable but you find yourself smiling until the end and there are not many bands out there that can bring that much joy. Superb. Just superb.
