WidlSpiritz IMS Review - KAOS KREW - ‘FROM THE OSTROBOTHNIAN PLAIN’
Kaos Krew took its first breaths in 2004 when the band was founded by members Ulf Skog, Göran Fellman and Tomas Öst in Jakobstad Finland.
‘FROM THE OSTROBOTHNIAN PLAIN’
Kaos Krew are a clever bunch and this is quite the album. ‘Entropy – Black Door’ gets things underway with its demonic vocals and a seriously epic guitar. The vocals change to just excellent on ‘Never Answer Why’ and in terms of the tune itself I’m reminded of Poison Black, but just a little. The guys change things about whilst still maintaining the essence of their style. Fabulous synth opening on ‘Crazy’ which is then taken over by the guitar.
Very well done indeed. A couple of instrumentals on offer, ‘Nobody Home’ and ‘Electric Skin’ with the solo on ‘Electric’ being blinding. ‘Whiteout’ was a definite favourite and also throughout are some old school nods. Cleverly written and cleverly played this is a definite for any one’s playlist. No need to go on. It’s a stunner.
