Black Lilium have put together a very clever set of songs with this album. Opener ‘Beast in the Backseat’ is a stunner and the vocals are pitch perfect. Second track in, ‘Paragon of Imperfection’ and we move to something beautiful that then gets supercharged. There’s a big nod to Deathstars on tracks such a ‘Demon in Disguise’ and ‘Never.’ The whole thing is very well produced and there are hooks a plenty.
‘Walls Around My Soul’ is one of the best tracks we have heard in a long time. ‘Everything I Am’ is a total stand out along with title track ‘Dead Mans Diary’ and ‘Ghosts Without A Voice.’ Outstanding quality throughout and very well done.
